Care Support Worker
As you progress through the different stages of Alzheimer’s Disease, you become totally reliant on your primary carer for help, support and love, you need in order to maintain your independence. It is therefore not hard to imagine that, ‘caregivers become the feet, hands and mind of the person with dementia’.

Given my circumstances, I am fortunate to have two care support partners, who look after me on a regular basis. Where my wife, Nicole, is my primary carer on a day to day basis. Daniela accompanies me every morning as I walk my two dogs along South Curl Curl Beach, and onto the promenade that takes you to Freshwater headland. As the need arises, Daniela also accompanies me throughout the day to a range of different community activities that I like to be involved in.
